More often than not, a child’s education includes technology of some sort. This may begin at a very early age and will continue on until graduation. In fact, technology has become central in the education of children from the time they learn colors to the point they prepare for college.

For toddlers, the learning devices available can help them learn anything from colors, to shapes as well as the basics of reading and math. Tutorials which have been created with the very young in mind help to introduce concepts which will be needed for a successful entrance into their first years of school. The whole story can be found at http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2012/04/i-dont-know-how-is-not-a-valid-excuse/

In the case of young school age children, technology is no longer the one computer in the back of the classroom, or a trip to the computer lab once a week. Instead, some institutions have begun making tablets, laptops and other mobile devices available. They are being used in the place of text books, test papers and even evaluations to gauge progress.

As their mandatory education comes to a close, high school children find themselves able to access information from all over the world as they prepare for research papers and speeches. They also have courses offered which will help them continue on in their formal education. Classes such as programming, computer design and other technical based classes are either electives or in some cases requirement for graduation.

There are many educational differences between the United States and Japan influenced by culture differences and expectations. Teachers deal with many different situations when dealing with students in a formal school setting. Such situations include sharing of the teacher’s attention, independent work and regulation of behavior. Such situations hinder the learning environment. Teachers deal with these nuisances by attempting to make learning appealing and this is reached in many different ways, one way is holding games where students can earn extra credit points.
In Japan, development of adaptive dispositions is practiced, where in the United States, teachers, school administration and parents attempt to make learning more attractive through different factors. Another notable different between Japanese and American schooling is the level the students are held at and the responsibilities given. In Japan, the students tend the class room and learning institutions, where as students in the United States provide minimal care to their class rooms and most clean up is left to a janitorial staff. Japanese teachers also work to improve lessons and teaching methods, something that is foreign to many US schools.
While politicians understand the value of following the Japanese in their school systems, others do not. While American parents want their children to achieve high scores amongst their school mates, and get into the best schools such as Harvard. There are many within the US government, particularity within the states that do not find holding high standards essential. Hopefully, within the coming years our public school system will change to give American students a healthy competition and provide the same high quality of education that Japan does.

Children in the United States of America represent many different cultures from around the world. Even though they have differences, they share in the American culture.

Many American children play one or more sports. Favorite sports for children in America are baseball, football, cheerleading, gymnastics and soccer. Other activities children in America enjoy are dance class, voice lessons and learning to play an instrument.

Holiday celebrations are a fun part of the American culture. Two highly celebrated Holidays unique to American children are Thanksgiving and the 4th of July. Thanksgiving, observed each year on the 4th Thursday of November, is a day we set aside to be thankful for all good things. We gather with close family and friends to eat a traditional feast of turkey, dressing, vegetables, bread and dessert. We celebrate our independence as a country on July 4th of each year. We have large celebrations where it is tradition to set off spectacular fireworks, eat watermelon and grill hamburgers and hot dogs.

In America, children start their education at age 5 in kindergarten. Most graduate from school after 13 years of education. Throughout their education, they will be taught many things including math, science, writing and grammar, geography, social studies, physical education, music and foreign languages.

Culture and education are an important part of American children’s live’s. Because of this, American children have a lot in common, and form many friendships. The information party rocks on: Globalization and Culture
