The Life of an Eraser - by Rena

On a bright sunny day, at a stationary store an eraser met its new owner. Mr. Mac, the old owner was a very pleasant man. He sold the eraser to the new owner, Cindy. The eraser was very nervous about going to a new home with a new owner. It was also worried about making friends. At the store the eraser felt safe and had friends such as the other erasers and pencils. But now it's alone with a person it hardly knows about.
Cindy had come to buy an eraser, because she was going to kindergarten two days later. She was also nervous about going to a new place she hardly knew and was worried about making friends.
Cindy's house was large. In her room the eraser saw books all around the place. It also saw a pencil box that had mechanical pencils in it with pencil sharpeners. The eraser thought they could become his friends. Fortunately Cindy put it beside the mechanical pencils. The eraser started to talk to them. But they never responded to it and just kept on chatting with each other. Then something bumped into the eraser. It was a pencil. The pencil and eraser soon became friends. The pencil told the eraser that the mechanical pencil was called "Mech" and the pencil sharpener was "Sharp. They were bullies. Cindy had many other pencils and erasers but they were all hiding because they were afraid of Mech and Sharp.
One day, Mech and Sharp were playing tag. Suddenly Mech fell off the desk! Down the desk, on the floor, eraser and pencil were playing with a big cloth. Then eraser noticed that Mech was falling down so eraser and pencil pulled the cloth so hard that it became like a trampoline and Mech fell on it so he was safe. After that Mech, eraser, pencil, and Sharp all become friends.
Then Cindy came with a pencil box. She put eraser, pencil, Sharp, and after living in the pencil box they were finally used. They saw themselves in a school with other pencils and someone, probably her friend.
Eraser felt very happy to have so many friends and Cindy did as well.
