Weekender - Writing Contest
HANAMI
by Nao
The Weekender magazine started a writing contest for every issue starting in April. Many children at GKA were excited about their work being published in a magazine.
The first theme was HANAMI, watching the beautiful cherry blossoms. The younger children made collages and wrote words that they thought were related to the cherry blossom. Many of the older children wrote poems. After several weeks, the Weekender Magazine came out and we were overwhelmed to see many of the children’s work in the contest! Congratulations to all the children whose work was published in the magazine and on the website. Let’s keep up the good work! We will be sending entries to further writing contests, so please look forward to the next Weekender magazine!
